Bipasha Basu’s nude ad that recently went online in YouTube created ripples. But Bipasha Basu is unfazed by the leaking of the video on the net as she feels it was nothing vulgar and she is proud the way she was looking in the ad. Her boyfriend actor John Abraham also feels the same. John says that Bips looks hot in the ad. Bipasha Basu is happy to have an understanding boyfriend like John. Her parents also sound very cools regarding the ad. She quips, “John is not hyper at all and neither are my parents. In fact, John told me I looked really hot in it. It is so wonderful to have a supportive boyfriend and parents.”
The advertisement shows Bipasha as a Rajasthani bride getting ready for the wedding with actor Vivek Oberoi. Shot in New York way back in 1999 for a lottery commercial reads a tag line – ‘All you need is a dollar and a dream’. The ad shows Bipasha getting ready for the ad exposing partially her secret assets.
Regarding the ad, Bips said, “In 1999, I was a model living in the USAand that is where I wanted to make my career. I was young and naïve and when I was told to turn towards the camera in the pose that eventually is in the ad, I did not understand anything about angles. In those days there was no monitor on the sets and I had no idea what was shot.”
“Becoming an actor was not something I had even thought of. I was a kid in bohemia. Today as a mature woman working in India, I would never do such a shoot, not because I have double standards, but because such shots are just not part of our sensibility. It isn’t cool here,” Bipasha said.
Bipasha is happy the way she looks in it, “It is a beautiful ad and I look great in it. It’s neither sleazy nor a porn. I am proud of the way I look in it.”
